Midweek Communion

A midweek service for the whole benefice is held in Morland every Wednesday at 10am, following which the congregation have coffee together at the Mill Yard Cafe. The service is modern language, said (no hymns) with a short sermon and lasts about 30 minutes. It is among our friendliest and most relaxed services, and a great way to get to know people from other parishes.

Youth Cafe Church

A midweek youth cafe church is held at the Birchwood Cafe, Shap, each Tuesday in term-time, from 7pm to 8.30pm. There are refreshments, table-top games and crafts to support conversation, and a 30-minute act of worship during the session. Young people from Year 5 are welcome. For safeguarding reasons, this service is not open to adults except by invitation.

Morning Prayer

A service of Morning Prayer is held in Morland church every Tuesday at 9.15am. We use the modern-language Common Worship service from the Church of England's 'Daily Prayer' app (published by Aimer Media), which is available on the Google/Android and Apple/iPhone app stores. If you do not have the app yet, it is always possible to share with someone else.
