About Growing Younger ministry
A key priority for our Benefice is growing younger. Our Growing Younger Minister, Ruth Hutchings, joined us in June 2024. She has responsibility, alongside Stephen, for our ministry to children and families, youth and schools. We seek to work within the National and Diocesan 'Growing Younger' strategy, with the Diocesan Board of Education and with partners such as Network Youth Church and NISCU, among others. We are particularly grateful for the close working relationships we have with our primary schools.
Growing Faith Hub
In September 2024 we were awarded one of 12 national Growing Faith Hub awards for the year, a grant of £20,000 to be spent in 2025 and 2026. We wil shortly be commencing work with our young people and schools to design an expression of church which will sit alongside our group of parishes, and provide a venue in which our young people can explore spirituality and faith in ways that they find most helpful.
Growing Ministry information and training morning
Our most recent Saturday morning training event was on the theme of Growing Younger ministry and we were delighted to have a full house of delegates from across our churches.
