Brougham: St Wilfrid's Church

Brougham Chapel, now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, was rebuilt by Lady Anne Clifford. It is notable for its unusual furniture and for its triptych (now displayed at the West End of Carlisle Cathedral).


Brougham: Countess Pillar and Annual Dole Service

Built as a memorial to her mother by Lady Anne Clifford, the Countess Pillar is the site of the annual dole service, commemorating Lady Anne and her concern for the poor.


Brougham: St Ninian's Church ('Ninekirks')

St Ninian's (Ninekirks), now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, is the historic parish church of Brougham. It stands in picturesque isolation in a bend of the River Eamont, far from the madding crowd.
