Accessibility
Access to St Barnabas is step-free. There is a fairly steep slope on the tarmac path from the pavement to the gate and then from the gate to the porch, overall distance 15m. There is a slight lip onto the stone flagging of the porch and then across the threshold, but readily negotiable with a wheelchair or walker. Inside, the aisles are wide and carpeted. Seating is on pews. There is a space for wheelchairs, buggies and mobility scooter at the back. The chancel and sanctuary have steps, but communion can be brought to the chancel step or pew for those who prefer.
Sound is amplified. The lighting is bright. Large print hymn books are available. The church heating is effective.
